Job summary

One Sixth Form College Ipswich is seeking a proactive Student Liaison Officer to join our Welfare Team. The role is 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, permanent, with a salary of £25,185–£25,989 depending on qualifications and experience.

You will patrol the site, engage positively with staff, students and the public, promote positive behaviour, provide guidance and supervision, and act as a duty officer to support safeguarding and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

• An existing First Aid at Work qualification would be advantageous but full training can be provided.
• Previous experience of working in the Police or Armed Forces would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the site and engage positively with staff, students and the public as required.
• Promote positive student behaviour and act as a duty officer on site.
• Provide support, guidance and supervision to staff and students; assist with safeguarding as needed.
