Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time permanent basis at Manor Vetson, near Birmingham. You will support the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care and help ensure the practice runs smoothly.

You will work under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or RVN, assist with inpatient care, patient handling, and maintain clinical areas and equipment while providing a compassionate experience for animals and owners.

Qualifications

• Reliable, motivated team player with genuine interest in animal welfare.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues and clients.
• Strong organisational skills to manage tasks in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn and openness to feedback and development.
• Experience with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Back of house role: cleaning the practice and preparing equipment and consulting rooms.
• Support the rest of the team and assist with patient handling and restraint as directed.
• Ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.
