Job summary

Avara Foods Limited is hiring a Production Operative for the Butchery Team at our Hollybank Site in Scropton, Derbyshire. This is a part-time role, one day per week, with shifts starting at 06:00 on Tuesdays and finishing around 15:00.

You will trim, prepare and pack turkey portions, weigh, label and despatch products in a fast-paced FMCG environment. We offer training and a range of staff benefits as part of our secure, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate.
• Good attention to detail with a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Knife/butchery skills advantageous.
• Experience in production/manufacturing desirable; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prepare and butcher turkey portions.
• Weigh, assemble and pack products for despatch; labelling and grading.
• Manual handling up to 20kg as part of duties.
