Job summary

Transformation Unit in Scarborough is seeking a Transport Driver (Band 2) on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). You will join the Transport Department, with full training provided, and no patient transport duties. The role supports NHS facilities management and requires a driving licence and a willingness to learn.

Base site is Scarborough Hospital; the post is permanent with potential for extra hours. Benefits include NHS pension and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent; English at C or above.
• Current driving licence (automatic and manual), including B+E category.

Responsibilities

• Transport and handle a range of items including medical equipment, food items and other goods.
• Ensure safe delivery and security of all items while in transit.
• Support the Transport Department's professional and reliable service for York and Scarborough sites.
• Note that this role does not provide patient transport.
