Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) in Scarborough seeks a flexible Transport Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for handling and transporting a variety of items, including medical equipment and supplies, with training provided where needed.

The role supports NHS facilities across York and Scarborough; patient transport is not included. Applicants should be reliable, adaptable and willing to learn, with a current driving licence (BE) and GCSE-level qualifications.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; English and Maths grade C or above or 4-9.
• Current driving licence with BE category.

Responsibilities

• Handle and transport a range of items including medical equipment, controlled drugs, food items, medical gases and furniture.
• Ensure safe delivery and security of all items while in transit; no patient transport provided.
