Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP) is hiring a Transport Driver for Scarborough. The role involves handling and transporting a variety of items within the Trust’s transport service, with full training provided. You will ensure safe delivery and security of items in transit; no patient transport is involved.

Additional hours may be available for those who wish to work them. We welcome applications from motivated individuals who can work as part of a team and align with the Trust

Qualifications

GCSE level or equivalent with English at C or above.
Current driving licence (automatic and manual), including B+E category.
Previous experience in commercial driving is desirable but training provided.

Responsibilities

Handle and transport a range of items including medical equipment, controlled drugs (signed collection and delivery), food items, medical gases and furniture.
Ensure the safe delivery and security of all items while in transit.
Note: this role does not provide patient transport.
