York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) in Scarborough seeks a flexible Transport Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for handling and transporting a variety of items, including medical equipment and supplies, with training provided where needed.

The role supports NHS facilities across York and Scarborough; patient transport is not included. Applicants should be reliable, adaptable and willing to learn, with a current driving licence (BE) and GCSE-level qualifications.

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for an approachable and flexible Transport Driver to join our team in Scarborough. Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential.

Main duties of the job

The Transport Department provides a professional and reliable Transport service on behalf YTHFM for York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, servicing various NHS organisations including other hospitals and GP surgeries within Scarborough and the surrounding areas.

You will primarily be responsible for handling and transporting a range of items, including, but not limited to:

• medical equipment
• controlled drugs (signed collection and delivery)
• food items
• medical gases
• furniture

You will be responsible for the safe delivery and security of all items whilst in transit.

We do not provide any patient transport.

Education, Qualifications and Training
