Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director to work with and support the Postgraduate Dean in delivering a wide range of functions within their specialty, aligned to the NHS England mandate. The role is usually fixed-term for 3 years with options; current contract until 31 March 2027; salary contribution is £10,000 per session.

Applicants from within the NHS are expected to consider a secondment; the position may involve working across Cambridge-based sites, with potential ESR

Qualifications

• Membership or Fellowship of a College, Faculty or regulatory body.
• Attendance at courses supporting educational development.
• Primary clinical healthcare qualification.
• Experience in educational leadership and multi-professional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support educational functions for postgraduate education.
• Oversee regional training programmes and advise on trainee/trainer matters.
• Manage postgraduate programme management including assessments, rotations and progression.
• Provide reports to committees and complete annual school development plan.
