Job summary

Salfords Primary School and Nursery is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning across the school and early years in a part-time, permanent position (12.5 hours per week, Thursday and Friday). The role offers a rewarding opportunity to help pupils reach their potential in a caring GLF Schools community.

You will work under the guidance of teachers to deliver activities, encourage progress, and maintain a positive, safe classroom environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• Basic IT skills to support learning and administrative tasks.
• Strong communication skills to engage students effectively.
• Ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and follow teacher guidance.
• Professional and confidential approach to working with children.
• Strong time management and organisation skills to maintain records and assist in classroom setup.
• A trustworthy, approachable, and passionate attitude towards making a positive impact on students' lives.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with GLF Schools' policies.
