Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. The role is mornings only, Monday to Friday, starting right after the October Half Term break.

You will support Years 4-6 with Reading, Writing and Maths, run small-group and 1:1 interventions, and help with lesson preparation and classroom management. A Level 2/3 TA qualification and an Enhanced DBS are required; the position offers a supportive agency with

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification.
• Experience working with KS2 in a UK primary school setting is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

About the Role

Requirements

• Essential: Proven experience working within KS2 (specifically Years 4-6) in a UK primary school setting.
• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly upper KS2 expectations.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about children's education.
