You will prepare and submit UK self assessment tax returns for a diverse client portfolio, including individuals, sole traders and landlords, and handle HMRC queries with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing UK self assessment tax returns.
• Experience dealing directly with HMRC by phone and written correspondence.
• Proficiency with tax/accountancy software such as Tax Calc, Xero and QuickBooks.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit self assessment tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients (individuals, sole traders and landlords).
• Manage HMRC correspondence, handle queries, resolve disputed penalties where necessary.
• Review clients' records, bank statements and receipts to ensure tax details are correct.
• Act as a point of contact for HMRC, ensuring all deadlines and compliance are met.
