Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Personal Tax Manager for an independent accountancy firm in the UK. You will support the Tax Director with personal tax returns and advisory work for a mixed SME client portfolio, while mentoring junior staff.

This hands-on, client-facing role offers a collaborative team environment and a potential part-time arrangement for strong candidates. Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ATT/ACA/CTA or exceptional by experience.
• UK tax legislation knowledge.
• Minimum of 10 years in UK accountancy practice.
• Strong IT skills including tax and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal clients and be the first contact for inquiries.
• Oversee preparation and review of tax returns and compliance filings.
• Support Tax Director on advisory projects and tax planning.
• Build relationships with clients and mentor junior staff.
• Liaise with HMRC and ensure deadlines are met.
