Royal Mencap Society in Trowbridge is seeking a passionate Support Worker for a Part-time 25hrs permanent contract. You will support five men with learning disabilities to live the life they choose and help them access their local communities.

The role requires genuine care, excellent communication, and flexibility across shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. A DBS check and references are standard, with comprehensive benefits and pro rata holiday entitlements.

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Trowbridge on a Part-time 25hrs permanent contract.

We have a registered care home where five men who have Learning Disabilities live and enjoy a great life

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these individuals. Each person has their own unique abilities and needs, and you will be supporting them to live the life they choose.

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• Being able to reduce social isolation of people with a learning disability.
• Being able to increase the independence and confidence of individuals with a learning disability.
• Enabling the people with a learning disability to fully access their local communities.

Contract options

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

• Days and weekends: 8-6pm, 3pm-8pm, 11am-6pm, 7am-6pm 12noon-10pm
• There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £64.20
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred but not essential

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
