Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is hiring a part-time Support Worker at Oak Road Residential Care Home in Stockton-on-Tees. The role supports six adults with learning disabilities, focusing on independence, confidence and community participation.

You will work in a small, friendly home with a supportive team, guided by person-centred approaches and a roster that helps work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care.
• Level 2 qualification in Safe Handling of Medication.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred support.
• Level 3 Medication Training to be completed within two months.

Responsibilities

• Help residents live as independently as possible.
• Develop confidence and life skills through daily activities.
• Facilitate hobbies, social activities and community involvement.
• Maintain relationships with family and friends and manage daily routines.
• Attend appointments and support health and wellbeing.
