Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is recruiting for a part-time Support Practitioner in the Dumfries area. You will help individuals to live independently at home, with responsibilities including medication assistance, personal care and daily tasks.

No prior care experience is required as we value transferrable skills and values; full training is provided, including SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Shifts include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; we recruit on values and transferrable skills.
• Training provided, including SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• UK Driving Licence and access to own car required for female applicants.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and provide personal care.
• Assist with general housework and meal preparation.
• Provide social support within the service and accompany individuals to hobbies/events.
