Job summary

Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association Limited is seeking a part-time Support Assistant in Trowbridge to deliver high-quality support services and promote independent living. You’ll work 25 hours per week at Shaftesbury Court, supporting people with disabilities in daily living activities and social inclusion, while following care regulations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate record-keeping, and strong communication with families, agencies, and internal staff to ensure a safe, inclusive

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and similar tools.
• Ability to keep accurate records and communicate clearly with the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service.
• Encourage customers to develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement.
• Promote social inclusion and help customers build confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
• Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices.
