Job summary

UPP Ltd is seeking a part-time Cleaner in Reading to join our student accommodation team. The role is 20 hours per week, 9am–1pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £12.98 per hour (£13,544.83 per annum).

You will clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas, including vacuuming, washing and waste disposal, following Health & Safety guidelines. We value reliability, communication and attention to detail and offer a supportive environment with benefits such as 25 days holiday, life

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in a similar environment.
• Good conversational English and ability to read Health & Safety guidance.
• Willing to work at other sites with notice and during peak times.
• Vetting and basic DBS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated student accommodation areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms and kitchens.
• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors, clean stairs.
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators and lampshades as appropriate.
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish to bin store areas.
• Summer duties: make beds and change sheeting; collect laundered linen.
• Clean internal and external windows and wash glasses, cutlery and utensils.
• Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers and UPP staff.
• Follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Be prepared to work at other sites and accept extra hours during peak periods.
