Job summary

UPP is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join the Kings Cross team. The role covers cleaning dedicated student accommodation areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and all white goods. Hours are 9am–2pm, Monday to Thursday, totalling 20 hours per week, with a salary of £7,939 per annum.

Experience in similar environments and strong communication and organisational skills are essential. Applicants should have a good level of English, be able to read Health & Safety guidance, and be prepared

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in a similar environment.
• Good conversational English.
• Ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
• Willing to work at other sites with notice.
• DBS or equivalent vetting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairs
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriate
• Empty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areas
• During the main summer season: make beds, strip and change sheeting, collect laundered linen
• Clean internal and external windows, where applicable
• Clean glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils as appropriate
• Daily liaison with residents and Residence Managers
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies at all times
