Job summary

UPP Ltd is seeking a Heavy‑Duty Cleaner for a permanent, part‑time role at our university campus in Oxford. The position runs 25 hours per week, 8am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, with emphasis on heavy lifting and removal of student refuse.

You’ll work in Halls of Residence, cleaning bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and common areas, while following Health & Safety guidelines. Applicants should have previous heavy‑duty cleaning experience, good English, and be able to read safety guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy-duty / deep cleaning in a similar environment.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret Health & Safety guidance.
• Good conversational English and reading of safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas in Halls of Residence.
• Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep floors and stairs.
• Wash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades and curtains as appropriate.
• Empty waste and remove rubbish and glass from flats to bin stores.
• Make beds and handle laundering during peak periods.
