Job summary

Juniper Training Ltd is seeking a dedicated Counsellor to support learners and apprentices across our centres, providing vital wellbeing and mental health support both face-to-face and online. The role involves regular travel to centres across the East and West Midlands, so candidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance and able to travel between locations.

You will deliver 1:1 and group counselling, assess needs, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group counselling sessions to support learners’ wellbeing and mental health
• Support learners with a range of challenges, including emotional, psychological, health and relationship issues
• Build strong relationships with staff and promote the benefits of the counselling service
• Assess individual needs and identify appropriate interventions or referrals
• Work closely with safeguarding teams to ensure concerns are managed in line with legislation
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and manage an effective diary system
• Communicate clearly with staff to support learner attendance and engagement
