Job summary

Southern Co-op is seeking a Team Leader to help drive the store forward, inspire the team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. The role focuses on energy, organisation, and a positive attitude with full training provided.

You will support store operations such as the Post Office, Parcel Services, local suppliers, and community programmes, stepping up in the Store Manager’s absence. The 18 hours per week are spread over two days, with shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of store operations including the Post Office, Parcel Services, Local Suppliers, Community Programme, Too Good To Go, and Home Delivery.
• Engage with and support the local community.
• Assist day-to-day management, ensuring safety, legality and smooth running; cover Store Manager in their absence.
• Lead by example and help your team deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Develop colleagues to grow the store’s success.
