Job summary

Discovery Schools Trust is seeking a part-time Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join the In-TACT Service, working under a qualified Speech and Language Therapist. You will support children across the Trust to achieve their individual goals and assist staff to create inclusive environments.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English to grade C is a required minimum.
• CPD opportunities will be available with flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy programmes designed by Speech and Language Therapists.
• Support individuals with communication, speech, language and interaction needs.
• Assist in the delivery of group and individual therapy sessions.
• Prepare therapy resources and activities.
• Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain accurate records in line with our service standards.
• Support our schools, staff and families by sharing information and advice as directed.
• Contribute to the safe and effective running of the service.
• Attend training, supervision and team meetings.
• Attend regular In-TACT team meetings
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures at all times.
