Job summary

Discovery Schools Trust Ltd is seeking a part-time Speech & Language Therapist Assistant (Band 3) based at Mowmacre Hill Primary School, Leicester. The role involves delivering therapy programmes under supervision, supporting children with communication needs and helping create inclusive classrooms.

The post offers CPD opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and membership in a multidisciplinary In-TACT service. 30 hours/week over 40 weeks (initially) with 4 days per week.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 3 GCSEs including English to grade C (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy programmes designed by Speech and Language Therapists.
• Support individuals with communication, speech, language and interaction needs.
• Assist in the delivery of group and individual therapy sessions.
• Prepare therapy resources and activities.
• Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain accurate records in line with our service standards.
• Support our schools, staff and families by sharing information and advice as directed.
• Contribute to the safe and effective running of the service.
• Attend training, supervision and team meetings.
• Attend regular In-TACT team meetings.
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures at all times.
