Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking a part-time Specialist in Orthodontics for the Community Dental Service based at JR Hospital. The post splits 50/50 between Oxford Health and OUH to deliver shared care across OMFS, Orthodontics, Oral Medicine and Restorative Dentistry, including care for patients with disabilities or complex needs.

Qualifications

• Full General Dental Council registration
• Inclusion of GDC specialist list in orthodontics
• Membership in Orthodontics or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in education, leadership, management or QI

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist orthodontic consultations, clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment planning with autonomous decisions within scope.
• Provide preventive, interceptive and active orthodontic care in community service with fixed/removable appliances.
• Deliver shared care with OMFS, Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry coordinating care in correct sequence.
