Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join Gartnavel Royal Hospital. The role delivers specialist assessments, person-centred interventions and treatment evaluations within a supportive team, with supervision and ongoing professional development.

This permanent, part-time post (18 hours/week) is based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, offering a collaborative environment and opportunities for evidence-based practice and service development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• HCPC registration required.
• Experience using outcome measures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, relatives, carers and partner organisations.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatments.
• Use outcome measures to monitor patient progress.
• Supervise Band 5 Occupational Therapists, OT Support Workers and students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Contribute to development and improvement of the OT service.
