Mon Motors Limited in Newport is seeking a practical, hands-on cleaner and site maintenance assistant to keep our dealership clean, tidy, safe and professionally presented both inside and outside.

You will work 16 hours per week across two days, with pay of £12.71 per hour. The role suits someone who takes pride in their work, notices jobs that need doing, and can work independently in all weather.

Experience in cleaning or maintenance is welcome, and we value reliability and a proactive attitude.

Job description

This is a varied role responsible for keeping the dealership clean, tidy, safe and professionally presented both inside and outside. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can identify jobs that need doing without always being asked.

2 full days per week (16 hours per week) negotiable on days £12.71 per hour

• Attention to detail – able to spot areas requiring cleaning or maintenance without needing to be asked.
• A practical, hands‑on approach – willing to get stuck in with cleaning,tidying and general site maintenance tasks.
• The ability to work outdoors – comfortable working outside throughout the year and in varying weather conditions.
• Self‑motivation and reliability – able to manage daily tasks independently and maintain consistently high standards.
• Good organisation and time management skills – able to prioritise jobs effectively and ensure the dealership remains clean, safe and professionally presented.
• Previous cleaning or site maintenance experience, ideally within a commercial, retail, automotive or similar customer‑facing environment.
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with confidence carrying out minor repairs and general upkeep around the dealership site.

This role would suit someone who is practical, dependable and takes genuine pride in maintaining a high standard of their working environment. You will need to be comfortable working independently, spotting what needs doing and taking ownership of keeping the site looking its best.
