Job summary

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming primary school in Hounslow. The role involves 1:1 support and small group work with pupils who have SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH and MLD, helping them access learning and participate in lessons.

The ideal candidate is caring, patient and resilient, with experience supporting children and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work at one of our welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Hounslow.

This role is within a nurturing primary school committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to positively impact children's academic progress, confidence and emotional wellbeing. You will support pupils who may require additional guidance both in and out of the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

You will be working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting to individual learning styles and promoting engagement throughout the school day.

• To have previous SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant experience

• To be confident working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
• To have knowledge of behaviour management strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
