Position: Special School Teacher

We work closely with a lovely special school based in Frome that is looking for a teacher to join the team in leading a class for 3 days a week. The school caters to a wide range of special needs and disabilities for students aged 4-16.

The Role

There are 9 students in the class, each with varying learning and cognition needs. The class includes students with diagnoses such as Down's Syndrome, ASC, and Cerebral Palsy. Some pupils are verbal, some use AAC (including Eye Gaze) to communicate, and others are non-verbal.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience working in a special school is preferred due to the needs of the students, but the school is open to a range of applications given the urgency of this position. QTS is also preferred.
