Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a part-time role in Huddersfield. The position offers daily pay between £92 and £105, weekly pay, and flexible days.

School hours are 8:15am to 3:30pm, with opportunities across EYFS and Primary, plus DBS support and ongoing consultant guidance. This role focuses on supporting pupils with SEN, delivering tailored learning plans, and promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Level 2 Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Possess SEN-related training or qualifications (advantageous).
  • Have knowledge of the KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum.
  • Be passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Deliver personalised learning and intervention programmes.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
  • Support small group activities when appropriate.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Your Responsibilities
