Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in the Wellingborough area for an immediate start.

You will deliver 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, work with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning strategies, and help foster a safe, inclusive environment.

A DBS on the Update Service is preferred, and you will receive ongoing safeguarding training through Teaching Personnel. This temporary role may become permanent at a later date.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a 1:1 or small-group capacity (desirable but not essential).
  • A calm, caring, and consistent approach with strong communication skills.
  • A passion for inclusive education and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
  • Resilience, patience, and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the pupil.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities
