Job summary

Greenway Junior School is seeking a caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team for 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This fixed-term role runs until 31 August 2027 and offers a rewarding opportunity to help children with special educational needs access learning, build confidence and independence.

You will work with teachers to deliver tailored activities, support positive behaviour and wellbeing, and develop strong relationships with pupils, parents and professionals.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent at minimum.
• Ability to support learning activities and engage children effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain records.
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN to access learning and achieve goals.
• Work with teachers to deliver engaging and personalised activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Build relationships with pupils, parents and external professionals.
