Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a caring SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Rugby primary school. The role is part-time, from October 2026, 10:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday, supporting a pupil with autism, ADHD and other needs on a one-to-one basis.

You will assist with personalised learning activities, support social and emotional development, and collaborate with teachers to create a calm, inclusive learning environment. Long-term potential and CPD training are included.

Qualifications

• Experience providing one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Interest in SEN and developing skills within a primary school environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Work the 10:00am-2:00pm window, Monday to Friday.
• Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist the class teacher with personalised learning activities and interventions.
• Help the pupil manage emotions, regulate behaviour and engage in classroom activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships.
• Support communication and social skills development.
• Create a calm, inclusive learning environment and collaborate with staff.
