G4S in Dorchester is seeking a Casual Security Officer to join a well-known site in Winfrith. You will cover days, nights, and weekends with a pay rate of £14.88 per hour and a 24-hour week.

Role includes greeting staff, patrolling, handling searches, and de-escalating incidents to keep people and property safe. Driving licence is required; SC clearance may be needed to pass probation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet staff and visitors and ensure adherence to security procedures.
• Conduct searches where required and patrol the premises.
• De-escalate situations firmly and respectfully to maintain safety.
• Provide excellent customer service while safeguarding people and assets.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Casual Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well-known site in Winfrith, Dorchester.

Contract Information

• Pay Rate: £14.88 per hour
• Hours: 24 hours per week position covering days, nights, and weekends as required
• Shift Pattern: Days, 07:00am-19:00pm and Nights 19:00pm-07:00am
• SIA Licence: Valid SIA Licence preferred

Applicants must have a full UK Driving Licence for this position.

You will be required to clear SC clearance to pass probation.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.

It's a varied role that includes greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises, and dealing with security incidents. You'll ensure visitors and staff are in a safe environment by de-escalating situations in a firm but respectful manner. With a keen eye and a brilliant way with people, you could look forward to an interesting role where no two days are the same with exciting career opportunities.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
