Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is seeking a Casual Security Officer to join a well-known site near Winfrith, Dorchester. The role requires providing excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment across 24 hours per week with day and night shifts.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, able to patrol, manage access, conduct searches, and de-escalate incidents. A full UK driving licence is required and SC clearance may be needed after probation; SIA licence

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over and able to work across days, nights and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• SIA licence preferred, with training provided if not held.
• Good IT knowledge and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet staff and visitors and enforce security protocols.
• Conduct searches where required and patrol the premises.
• De-escalate situations firmly but respectfully to keep people safe.
• Respond to security incidents and safeguard staff and assets.

Job description

Casual Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well-known site in

Winfrith, Dorchester.

Contract Information:

Pay Rate: £14.88 per hour

Hours: 24 hours per week position covering days, nights, and weekends as required

Shift Pattern: Days, 07:00am-19:00pm and Nights 19:00pm-07:00am

SIA Licence: Valid SIA Licence preferred

Applicants must have a full UK Driving Licence for this position.

You will be required to clear SC clearance to pass probation.

Please note that you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.

It's a varied role that includes greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises, and dealing with security incidents. You'll ensure visitors and staff are in a safe environment by de-escalating situations in a firm but respectful manner. With a keen eye and a brilliant way with people, you could look forward to an interesting role where no two days are the same with exciting career opportunities.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
