Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a part-time Second Chef in Northampton to deliver high-quality meals without the stress of split shifts.

You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious menus, manage the kitchen in their absence, and ensure a warm, welcoming environment. This role offers a balance between work and life, alongside learning opportunities and various employee rewards.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
• Ability to create a warm and welcoming kitchen environment.
• Experience in assisting Head Chef with menu development.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen in Head Chef’s absence.
• Assist in menu development and work with fresh produce.
• Complete regular audits and manage stock control.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team.

Skills

Personable and warm approach
