Qualifications

• Essential requirement: Enhanced DBS.
• Essential requirement: Previous experience as a school site supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Security and keyholding: Open and close the school premises and manage alarm systems.
• Maintenance and repairs: Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds, log repair needs, and carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Health, safety and compliance: Oversee health and safety regulations, conduct checks such as fire alarm testing and Legionella water checks, and manage COSHH logs.
• Contractor and staff management: Supervise external contractors and caretaking teams, ensure work meets standards and safety policies.
• Utilities and facilities operations: Maintain heating, hot water, lighting and ventilation; handle porterage and event space setup.
• Grounds and weather response: Maintain outdoor spaces, manage waste disposal, and handle snow clearance or flood response.
