Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a part-time School Site Supervisor for a primary school in Bolton. The role is 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday, initially for a 3-month temporary contract.

You will manage site security, maintenance tasks, health and safety checks and supervise contractors, ensuring safe operation of heating, lighting and facilities for students and staff. Experience with DBS clearance and prior school site supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Experience as a school site supervisor is essential.

Responsibilities

• Open and close school premises and manage alarm systems.
• Perform routine building and grounds inspections and basic handyman tasks (carpentry, plumbing, painting).
• Oversee health and safety regulations and conduct statutory checks (fire alarm testing, Legionella).
• Supervise external contractors and caretaking teams to meet safety policies.
• Maintain heating, hot water, lighting and ventilation systems and arrange porterage tasks.
• Manage grounds, waste disposal and weather-related responses (snow, flood).
