Job summary

Bridgtown Primary School seeks an outstanding Sites and Building Supervisor to manage the site, safety and caretaking, reporting to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. You will oversee health & safety, cleaning, maintenance and the School Caretaker, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The role requires practical DIY skills (plumbing, carpentry or painting), numeracy and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management for a school or similar setting.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and compliance.
• Excellent DIY skills in plumbing, carpentry or painting.
• Numerate, computer literate and physically fit.
• Experience with safety portals recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead on health and safety for the site and act as a nominated key holder.
• Oversee caretaking, cleaning and site maintenance across the school.
• Manage and support the School Caretaker and liaise with contractors.
• Ensure the site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
