Job summary

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a part-time, term-time school crossing patrol to help children cross roads safely. The role requires good communication with children, parents and school staff, and a DBS check.

Hours are 5 per week at an hourly rate of £12.85–£13.05. The post is permanent with ongoing closing date details. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to start with necessary legal documents.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents and school staff.
• Ability to work under own initiative within set guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to speak English to an appropriate standard.
