Job summary

As a School Crossing Patrol Officer at Ceres Primary School, you will help keep children and the community safe by ensuring crossings at a designated point during set times. Attendance at patrol points daily during school opening and closing times in all weather conditions is essential, including on short notice for unscheduled closures.

The current post is permanent, part-time, 38-week term, with a pro-rata salary of £25,604.23 and annualised pay.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are necessary.
• Ability to cope in all weather conditions.
• PVG scheme membership and Disclosure Scotland as required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children and community cross safely at a designated point between specified times.
• Attend patrol point daily at school opening and closing times in all weather conditions; respond to short-notice closures.
