Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust invites applications for a part-time Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment across school spaces. The role runs 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year, at Springwell Leeds East, with shifts 3pm-6pm Mon-Thu and 1pm-4pm Fri.

You will work in a supportive team, following health and safety procedures, COSHH rules and safeguarding practices. Training is provided, and enhanced DBS checks are required for applicants.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required; attitude and reliability matter.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but training provided.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment.
• Perform carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling.
• Replenish hygiene supplies and empty waste.
• Report damage or concerns promptly.
• Lock/unlock premises and maintain site security.
• Safeguard privacy and confidentiality.
