Job summary

The Stanway School in Colchester is looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our site team. This part-time role supports daily cleaning activities to keep classrooms and corridors spotless, enabling students and staff to thrive.

The position runs 20 hours per week over 43 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days and 4 weeks during closures). 15:30–19:30, Monday to Friday, fixed-term until 12 February 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in a school, commercial, or large-scale facility is desirable.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety protocols and COSHH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean corridors and classroom floors using appropriate equipment.
• Support cleaning after incidents and in emergency conditions (snow/ice).
