Job summary

Academics Ltd are recruiting a reliable School Cleaner to join a friendly secondary school in Dartford. The role is part-time, term-time only, 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with start ASAP and potential for ongoing work.

You will clean classrooms, corridors and facilities, maintain high standards of cleanliness, follow COSHH and health and safety procedures, and report maintenance or safety concerns to the Site Team. An Enhanced DBS (Update Service) is required or applicant must obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in school, office or commercial settings.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil safety.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting throughout the school.
• Emptying bins and replenishing consumables where required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Following health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Reporting any maintenance, cleaning or health and safety concerns to the Site Team.
• Working independently and as part of the wider cleaning team.
