Job summary

The Stanway School is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our busy facilities team. This 20-hour-per-week role runs during term time plus non-pupil days, with a fixed term ending 12 February 2027. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

Pattern of work is Monday to Friday, 15:30–19:30, focusing on health and safety, COSHH, spill response, and snow/ice clearing when needed. Competitive package and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic health and safety protocols.
• COSHH guidelines familiarity is desirable.
• Strong work ethic with high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean corridors and classroom floors using heavy-duty scrubber/drying machines.
• Follow cleaning frequency per Procedure Codes.
• Assist with cleaning after break-in or vandalism.
• In emergencies, help clear snow and ice from paths and entries.
