Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking three cleaners for Sgoil Lionacleit (0630/0631/0632) on a term-time basis. The role involves 16.5 hours per week with permanent posts and a salary of £11,204–£11,308 per year, including £1,155 Distant Islands Allowance. PVG disclosure is mandatory for this regulated role with children.

Interviews will be held in person. Applicants should have experience in similar cleaning jobs, understand commercial cleaning standards, and be aware of health and safety

Qualifications

• Understanding of cleaning requirements of commercial premises.
• Previous experience in a similar post.
• Awareness of Health and Safety issues in handling and storing materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties including floors, furniture and fittings in designated areas.
• Clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.
• Cleaning tasks such as washing, sweeping, vacuuming, bin removal, polishing and dusting using powered equipment when needed.
