Job summary

Empowering Learning Group is recruiting experienced School Cleaners to support a range of schools in and around the Thirsk area. Your work will play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff every day.

We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals with previous cleaning experience and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service). Successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–5:00pm, with hours potentially varying to meet school needs.

Qualifications

• Have previous professional cleaning experience.
• Have an excellent eye for detail and take real pride in their work.
• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Have reliable transport to travel to schools in and around Thirsk.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to purchase one.
• Can provide professional references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of schools in and around the Thirsk area to maintain cleanliness.
• Leave every space spotless and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.
• Move between school sites as required by assignment and schedule.
