Job summary

Vertas, a facilities management firm, is recruiting a School Chef for Misson Primary. This daytime, part-time role runs 09:00–13:30 on weekdays, teaching children and preparing nutritious meals while maintaining food safety and stock control.

You will lead the kitchen operation, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, manage orders and records, and support pupils, staff and visitors with courteous service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a School Chef or similar catering role.
• Experience in a school or commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve high quality meals
• Run the kitchen day to day
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety legislation
• Manage stock levels, ordering and budget controls
