Job summary

Lodestone House, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a School Chef to join our education catering team. The role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 43.8 weeks per year.

You will prepare high-quality meals, adapt menus, listen to feedback, help create new concepts, manage stock and ensure hygiene standards. A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience in a similar chef role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals for pupils and staff.
• Oversee menu changes and new concepts.
• Respond to customer feedback to improve dishes.
• Create new menus and creative food ideas.
• Monitor stock and keep kitchens well stocked.
• Ensure kitchen cleaning and health and safety compliance.
