Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Greythorn Primary, NG2 7GH. The role is 11.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:30 to 13:45, across 39.2 weeks per year. You will help prepare and serve meals and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

Pay rate is £12.71 per hour. Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable; a positive, team-oriented attitude is essential to deliver excellent customer service in a busy school setting.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Supporting the maintenance of a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.

• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties.
