Job summary

Ver­tas is seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team at King Edwin Primary & Nursery, NG21 9NS. The role is 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:15 to 13:45, across 39.2 weeks per year, to deliver high quality catering in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities include assisting with meal preparation and serving, providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors, maintaining a hygienic kitchen and dining area, following food

Qualifications

• Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Supporting the maintenance of a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Following food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties.
